Feeling tired, heavy, or uncomfortable can make pregnancy feel frustrating.
But behind the scenes, your body is working incredibly hard.
Right now, your body is:
-
Growing a completely new organ (the placenta)
-
Increasing blood volume significantly
-
Changing how your immune system works
-
Shifting organs to create space
That fatigue you feel isn’t laziness. It’s biology.
Your heart is pumping more blood. Your lungs are adapting. Even your sense of smell may be sharper than before.
Pregnancy is not passive. It’s constant physical work.
So if you need more rest, more food, or more breaks — that’s not weakness. That’s your body responding intelligently to change.
Your body knows what it’s doing, even on days when you feel unsure.
Treat it gently.
